This is a colored pencil piece done for the November challenge for http://arthappensinthemoment.blogspot.com/. The theme was "color" and what better way to represent this than with Red. I usually paint in acrylic but colored pencil can be fun and is easy to take along.
These are my favorite colors and magnolia is my favorite flower! Love this painting. I grew up in Louisiana and now am a Southern California Girl! But I miss those southern things. Thanks for the bright start to my day!
